Dang! It's been a long time...

I've decided it was time to start blogging. It's been almost a year since I attempted to write a daily post, but I seem to never really find the time to commit to it. Soooooooo! Here goes it again. Last night my Grand-daughter and I went to the local riding club event. I was tired as ususal from a long day at work, but managed to muster up enough energy to load the horses and off we went. Ronnie and Makayla already had the trailor hitched and the tack loaded, so what excuse could I use, NOT to go? ha



It will be two years next month she first rode a horse. We got there around 7:00 pm, got her entered and tacked up her horse and off she went. I saddled my horse and stood arena side most of the evening watching with her with pride. She competed in poles, the figure 8 and bucket flags. We were there almost 5 hours and she barely left the back of her horse other than get something to drink and go to the bathroom. Totally exhausted about midnight, I decided it was time to head home. We arrived home sometime short of 1:00 am and Ronnie was up waiting on us. He's such a great guy! He helped us get unloaded, then we let all our dogs out so we could sleep a little later in the morning with out them barking to get out.



At last to finally unwind after a very long day. The whole house got quiet and bedded down for the night...
